Vinyl lovers rejoice as not even COVID can stop the annual Record Store Day from happening, though it did try.
Avenue Records owner Callum Nobes said this year Record Store Day would be split across the last Saturdays in August, September and October, with plenty of exciting records for people to choose from.
“So we have about 75 or 80 exclusive titles that have come in for the day. We are putting out a couple of hundred second hand records and a hundred other brand new records as well,” he said.

Mr Nobes said getting stock had been difficult due to the pandemic and one of his suppliers were unable to provide its stock Australia wide.
“That’s probably been the big one. There are probably 30 or 40 titles that we would have got through, but we are still reasonably happy with how we have gone with everyone else,” he said.
Mr Nobes said he is looking forward to celebrating the day. “It’s great to see people support independent music stores,” he said.
Avenue Records will offering 10 per cent off storewide.
