Snow season at Ben Lomond got off to a great start, aided by a heavy snowfall from earlier in the week that covered much of Northern Tasmania.
Ben Lomond Committee vice president Adrian Beswick said it was a really busy weekend, with more than 200 people using the beginner lifts on Saturday.

He said even the Snow Sport Shop was snowed under with visitors, having to ask for patience given COVID-19 restrictions.
“People from all walks of life came to Ben Lomond … including people who usually go to the mainland or New Zealand for snow,” Mr Beswick said.
Mr Beswick said he hoped for more snow later in the week to allow for other terrain at the village to be available for the public.
