The Midland Highway has been closed in both directions at Melton Mowbray due to snow.
Tasmania Police released a statement stating vehicles would be turned around due to safety concerns.
Vehicles are also being turned around at the intersection with East Bagdad Road.
Further closures have since been added, including at Tunbridge Tier Road, Interlaken Road, Mud Walls Road, Highland Lakes Road and Sugarloaf Road.

The Examiner has received reports of snow – or sleet – falling at various locations in Launceston on Tuesday evening, while snow was widespread south of Launceston this morning and throughout areas of higher elevation.
