Twelve new police recruits will start work in Launceston next week.
Twenty-two new constables graduated at a ceremony held in Hobart on Friday, of which 11 were men and 11 were women.
Education and Training Commander Robert Blackwood said the constables had shown resilience and adaptability in completing their recruit course during the coronavirus pandemic.

He said the new officers would each achieve an Associate Degree of Arts (Police Studies) through a partnership with the University of Tasmania, as well as their constable ranking.
Acting-Northern Commander Ruth Orr said the arrival of 12 new officers in Launceston would provide a much needed resource boost for the city’s station and brought to it different levels of experience.
